At the last count, there are 400 members of Girlguiding Somerset North and Bristol & South Glos heading to the Jamboree. This includes Brownies, Guides and Rangers from Portishead, Wraxall, Avon Valley South and Weston-super-Mare Divisions, who are camping for the weekend. Timsbury Guides and Rangers held a Christmas Wreath workshop in December to raise funds for their trip to Iceland in 2021.
Congratulations to Kate, Olivia and Phoebe on completing their Peer Education training, which means that there are now four trained Peer Educators in the county, available to deliver peer education sessions in Brownie, Guides and Ranger units. 3rd Weston-super-Mare Brownies are celebrating their 100th birthday in October. They invite you to join them on Saturday 12th or Sunday 13th October at Milton Methodist Church Hall, 2 Milton Hill BS22 9RA. The event includes as exhibition of uniform and badges. You are invited to join them Saturday 12th between 10am – 5pm or Sunday 13th between 10am – 2pm.
