Leaders in Training: The programme
A chance to run through the Guiding programme covering Skills Builders, Unit Meeting Activities, Interest Badges and Awards. There will be time for any questions or areas you want to discuss from the ALQ book.

Supporting a Young Leader in the unit
Young volunteers and young leaders can be a great asset to a unit. They are often a source of new ideas and enthusiasm and can bridge the gap between the adult leaders and girls. It is also important that we encourage them and help them make the most of their time volunteering.

In this training, aimed at adult leaders, we will discuss the role of a young leader and the young leader qualification, how you might find young leaders and how to encourage them to take a leadership role and other opportunities available to young leaders. There will be lots of opportunities to discuss and share experiences.
Brownie Programme: Doing our Best, adapting, having a go, facilitation
An interactive and enthusiastic look at the fun to be had with 100% of the Brownie program. Something for every unit whatever facilities or budget you may have.

Inclusion Awareness for leaders and commissioners
Explore how we can remove barriers to include disabled members in our activities, including use of the new adjustment plans.

Mental Health Awareness
To enable leaders to recognise mental health issues and know how to offer support and where to seek help. By end of the session we will have examined the current mental health statistics in the UK, defined mental health and mental ill health, listed the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and distress, received a list of organisations, websites and apps that can support those with mental health issues and discussed how leaders can support others with mental health issues.

Ranger Leaders Air & Share
Share experiences, how has your unit adapted in the last year, help those who have not been able to meet during this time and provide insights to those new to leading a Ranger unit.
Guides Programme: Doing our Best, adapting, having a go, facilitation
If Covid has frazzled your guiding brain, or if you still feel like zoom meetings are a puzzle, this is the session for you! A programme refresher and top tips on activity adaptation for online or socially distanced meetings.

Commissioner Training
Laura Cottey, National Leader for Membership Growth is joining us for insight and discussion. There will also be Commissioner focussed finance and GO report training, updates on Awards, First Response and Q&A. Note: The Commissioner Session will run from 1pm - 2:45pm.

In this session, aimed at new leaders in training and those returning to Girlguiding after a break, we will introduce the vision, values and mission of Girlguiding; the promise and law and the 5 essentials. The training will have a practical focus and there will be lots of opportunity for questions and discussions.

Rainbow Programme: Doing our Best, adapting, having a go, facilitation
Ideas for Virtual Rainbow meetings, suggestions for adapting programme resources for on line participation and facilitating special events and meetings.

Unit Accounts, including how to claim Gift Aid
In this session, look at the different parts of the Girlguiding Finance Policy as applies to unit accounts and find out about claiming Gift Aid.

Skills and Peer Education for Young Leaders/Young Volunteers 14 - 17
Tips and tricks to improve your Leadership! Join Kate & Olivia, two Peer Educators in our County who will share with you their learning and how they use them in their unit.
Property Management
Look at good governance and key factors in the safe and legal operation of our properties, ahead of the Region Property Conference later in the year.

Using GO to best effect - unit teams
This session will provide an opportunity to develop GO knowledge and explore the Programme Recording Tools. Understand how GDPR affects your Guiding role.
